Inver Grove Elementary and its predecessor buildings were located in historic Inver Grove Village, below or along the bluffs of the Mississippi River along what is today Concord Boulevard (using 2024 addresses).

None of the original four buildings are still extant:

First county school (1854-1872): at 67th and River Road (formerly Doane)

Manning Farm School (1872-1882): at 72nd and River Road

District #7 School (1882-1918): at 67th and River Road

Inver Grove School, District No. 7 (1918-1964): at 4100 66th St E

The modern Inver Grove Elementary School was built in 1965, remained open until its closure in 2000 due to falling enrollments and budget shortfalls, and was a district property until its 2001 sale to the Muslim Foundation of Minnesota. As of 2024 the building remains in use by two charter schools.</text>
