Title A name given to the resource Interview with Doug Bester Description An account of the resource In this interview, Douglas Bester, a longtime resident of Inver Grove Heights, describes his observations and experiences regarding the city’s transition into a suburb. The main points include the different industries introduced into Inver Grove Heights, along with population growth and increased housing. Bester explains how the farming industry in this area has been replaced with service industries. He also describes the population growth in the area, causing increased diversity in the city and forcing the introduction of various forms of housing, such as developments and apartments. A 2009 construction project by the city of Inver Grove Heights, according to <a href="https://www.twincities.com/2009/05/08/road-project-through-inver-grove-heights-is-forcing-camerons-warehouse-liquors-out-of-its-historic-store/#:~:text=Built%20as%20a%20feed%20store,owned%20family%20business%2C%20Glewwe%20said.">this 2009&nbsp;<em>Pioneer Press&nbsp;</em>article,</a> forced the move of Cameron's from the east side of Concord at 66th St. E to the former Camerons Park, a section of land on the southwest corner of Concord and 65th St. E donated by the Cameron family to Inver Grove Heights in the 1940s.
