1982 Simley Softball State Tournament scrapbook

Clippings, photographs, and memorabilia related to the 1982 Simley Spartans fastpitch softball team, which won the Missota Conference and defeated defending state champion Austin en route to winning the Section 1AA championship. In the state tournament, the Spartans defeated Totino Grace 2-1 in 9 innings before losing 3-0 to Coon Rapids and 6-2 to St. Cloud Tech, finishing in fourth place. This scrapbook also includes team goals and expectations set by head coach Tom Begich, as well as statistics and other annotations made by player Kelly Darrow's father, Herb.
