Title

Search of landfill ends without a trace of Corrine Erstad

Subject

Search party for Corrine Erstad's body

Description

Following the disappearance of Corrine Erstad on June 1, 1992, police officers and volunteer firefighters contributed to a week long search for Corrine's body in the Pine Bend Landfill starting on June 2. Robert Guevara's storage locker in West St. Paul, emptied its contents into the Pine Bend Landfill, which is where detectives had found majority of the case's evidence like Corrine's blood-stained sundress. However, even when Guevara was arrested on June 5, police Chief Stanley Troyer was able to search the Ramsey-Washington waste-processing plant in Newport, where Guevara's Oakdale mobile home deposited garbage, but no body was found there either.
